#Teechallaclothing Hairstylist Christian Wood sliced Turner’s new fringe into place, creating a classic graduating curtain shape that skimmed the Dallas Cowboys Life Begins At Thirty Five 1988 The Year Of Legends shirt Apart from…,I will love this ends of her eyebrows and then, beyond that, the top of her cheekbones. The result is a super flattering, ’70s-inspired style that effortlessly framed her piercing blue eyes and bone structure. It is, quite frankly, haircut goals. Pairing the new cut with an exaggerated feline flick and a thick fan of lashes, Turner worked with makeup artist Naoko Scintu on an equally unfussy beauty look. Keeping her complexion flawless and slightly rosy, it was a masterclass in the “less is more” look. Sometimes you should just let the details do all the talking. At the BAFTAs 2023, our favorite stars got playful with their beauty looks again. While in past years—particularly those overshadowed by the pandemic—many played it safe, sticking with classic, old Hollywood-inspired looks for the red carpet, this year felt like a time for experimentation. Take Jodie Turner-Smith and Lashana Lynch, both of whom wore rather fabulous diamanté embellishments around their eyes to dazzling effect. Purple was another big trend of the night, with stars, including Lynch, showing off variations of the shade on lips and eyes. Even Cate Blanchett wore a haze of lilac eyeshadow, while Aimee Lou Wood opted for flattering metallic violet tones on her eyelids.

We’d be remiss not to mention Florence Pugh, too. With her micro-bangs and fanned-out up-do (by hairstylist Peter Lux), pink lip and immaculately groomed brows, she nailed the movie star brief, while still trying something new. Obsessed doesn’t cut it. Richard Quinn’s fall 2023 show was inspired by Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Secret Garden, featuring his signature floral prints. To complement the theme, makeup artist Terry Barber—the director of artistry at MAC Cosmetics—wanted to emulate the soft, feminine essence of a secret garden. The color palette included tranquil lilac, cleansing aquamarine, and mesmerizing silvers, while Barber decided to add to the fantasy theme with rounded, “Tim Burton-esque” eyebrows inspired by the 1920s. To create the look, Barber first prepped the skin with MAC Cosmetics’s light-diffusing Hyper Real Serumizer, creating a makeup-ready canvas. As for the base, Barber added coverage with the brand’s ultra-light Studio Radiance Face And Body Foundation. Using the MAC X Richard Quinn Eyeshadow Palette, Barber achieved a shimmery eye look, adding a delicate glossy lip to finish.
