Over the Philadelphia Eagles I May Live In Kansas But My Heart Beats For The Eagles Fly Eagles Fly shirt besides I will buy this last seven years, Meagher has not only amassed industry clout—he fields invitations from Prada, Loro Piana, Tommy Hilfiger, and other brands—but also financial independence. As his channel grew in popularity, he decided to pause pursuing his degree at FIT in 2019 and focus on social media full-time. (He intends to complete the course someday.) For now, he relishes his independence. “It can be lonely. But I don’t think I could do the corporate ladder and all that,” Meagher said to the prospect of working for a fashion publication or brand someday. “Not being able to be direct about things is the antithesis of my personality.” An outsider-insider approach to fashion is nothing new. Since the dawn of the internet, fashion enthusiasts outside of glossy publications have carved out important spaces for themselves within fashion. There were the highly read street style blogs of Tavi Gevinson and BryanBoy, which catapulted both to front-row fame. But unlike his predecessors—and in line with many old-school critics—a highly curated and unique sense of style is not part of Meagher’s success. Business of Fashion placed Meagher on the prestigious BoF 500 list—which celebrates people shaping the fashion industry in major ways—and praised him for “bringing fashion criticism to the digital age.” Interview magazine has tapped him to review shows and trends. In the future, he wants to pivot to television. “I’d love to do something history based,” he said. (A self-professed fashion-history buff, he owns multiple bookshelves full of coffee-table books on the subject.) “Maybe I could track the lesser-known history of brands on the show or something like that.”
