Throughout this year’s awards season where Redmayne has been doing press for his new film, The Good Nurse the duo have experimented with style. Redmayne has emerged triumphant as one of the best dressed men of the moment as a result. “I’ve always admired Eddie’s fashion sense, and his sense of flair and fun that he would have on the red carpet,” says Lambert, who has been working with Redmayne for about six months. “When he asked to collaborate, I was super excited to start working with him.” Redmayne had never worked with a stylist before; He saw what Lambert had been doing with stars like Emma Corrin and Josh O’Connor, and felt inspired to push his own fashion boundaries on the carpet. “He wanted to evolve his fashion, take some risks, and have fun,” says Lambert. “To try some things that he hadn’t tried before.” They put emphasis on subverting menswear classics like sleek tailoring and great suiting and doing modern, forward thinking takes on them.
It’s both fashion month and awards season right now, meaning, there was no shortage of celebrity sightings on the red carpets this week. These two events call for extravagant outfits, so celebrities dialed up the drama with looks that made head turning statements. Whether it was voluminous gowns, shimmery metallics, or archival vintage finds, the best dressed stars of the week took exciting risks on the red carpet. Risks that most definitely paid off. At the Saint Laurent show in Paris, Dua Lipa opted for a hooded going out top paired with a black leather trench. At Loewe, Chloë Sevigny went more whimsical with a faux fur coat and giant blue satin bow on the front. Indya Moore, meanwhile, went the vampy route with a red biker dress with buckle details at the Alexander McQueen presentation.
