Everything Everywhere All at Once star Michelle Yeoh made history last night at the Oscars. The actor became the first Asian star to ever win Best Actress in the ceremony’s 95 year history. For Yeoh, it was a grand finale moment for an already thrilling awards season. Not only has she picked up accolades at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, as well as the Academy Awards, but the film itself won seven last night the most since 2009’s Slumdog Millionaire, which earned eight. “This has been such an incredible experience for so many reasons, and to have it end at the Oscars is beyond my wildest dreams,” says Yeoh. “It’s not just about my experience but this incredible collective who are also getting recognized. We truly are a family, and I’m so happy we are all on this crazy ride together.”
Knowing it would be a particularly special evening for her as a front runner, Yeoh pulled out all the stops with her elegant Oscars red carpet last night. To begin her glam process, the actor first prepped her skin using La Mer’s The Treatment Lotion, The Eye Concentrate, and The Moisturizing Soft Cream. “Their products help make my skin feel hydrated and primed for makeup,” says Yeoh. Then, hairstylist Mara Roszak and makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani created a timeless beauty look that conveyed an easy, effortless vibe. “We wanted a soft, ethereal feeling, so we focused on beautiful skin,” says Yeoh. To achieve the no makeup makeup look, Bedrani focused on enhancing Yeoh’s natural features. “I wanted to bring out her eyes without being too dark,” says Bedrani. “I lined them with a black smudge pot from Stila and Dior’s 5 Couleurs eyeshadow palette in Soft Cashmere. I finished [the look] by combining two kinds of lipstick Rouge Dior in 625 Mitzah and Dior Addict 526 Mallow Rose.”
